These concepts derive from each other and can be interchanged. Self-worth refers to man’s value, whereas his self-esteem is the expression of this value towards the external world.
What is a person’s self-esteem?
Self-esteem is a form of spiritual state, a spiritual infrastructure, on which a person’s spiritual forces develop. It is also an attribute, an urge and a unique creative energy, which may be either negative or positive. Positive energy raises self-esteem, thereby encouraging positive development. Negative energy, in contrast, lowers self-esteem and in so doing, inhibits or arrests this positive development and encourages a negative one. It will be easier to better understand the meaning of self-esteem if we view it from our own perspective and from God’s.

Fear. Doubt. Not believing we deserve good things. Feeling less than others. Feeling not good enough. Shrinking down. Hiding our true self.
This is so normal in our society. To experience any or all of these on some level. It is actually more normal than the expression of the beauty and magnificence that we are all inside.
On some level we feel it is safer to shrink down. It is safer to hide our light, our beauty, to hide what makes us unique.

Addiction is a disease and it doesn’t only affect our bodies and brains, but it affects our spirit as well. There is a movement in the addiction industry toward a more holistic approach to treatment where the whole person is treated rather than just physiological symptoms or superficial emotional anxieties. Spiritual therapy is an integral part of recovery and is increasing borrowing from other traditions.

Room 101 in George Orwell’s novel “nineteen eight-four” was the room which contained the “worst thing in the world” and is the name of a popular TV comedy show where celebrities get to air their pet peeves. You can take the Room 101 concept a step further to boost your energy and reduce stress.
As I watched a recent episode of the program it struck me that more of us should give our lives the Room 101 treatment. Another word for the phrase “pet peeves” is tolerations. Tolerations are things we put up with in our lives. They drain us of our energy and they increase our stress load.

What is strategic thinking? What does that term mean? My research into definitions brought me to the following thoughts. Strategic thinking is a process that defines the manner in which people think about, assess, view, and create the future for themselves and others. It is more about creating tomorrow than responding to both day-to-day as well as long-term problems, opportunities, and new realities. It is proactive rather than reactive. Fortunately, it also can be applied on any day at any time and is responsive to the new realities and the accelerated rate of change of today and tomorrow’s world. Strategic thinking always involves change, and many times that means profound personal change. It is imagining the results you want to achieve in the future on a business and/or personal level.

If you were given a pen and paper and asked to write your general experience of life, what would you write? If you really search your deepest feelings, how do you feel? Do you feel frustrated or passionate? Have you given up? Are you satisfied or do you still want to move mountains? If you haven’t noticed yet, life is a journey and every journey has a destination and a map. It is exactly these two things that determine your experience through life. In the long run it is really the map that makes the difference. You can have the best destination ever, but if you have the wrong map, your journey will be quite miserable.

When something happens in your life, it tends to bring up a certain amount of feeling. Someone cuts you off in traffic, and it brings up anger or perhaps fear. That anger and that fear have a certain amount of volume to it.
Or perhaps you’re grieving for the loss of a loved one. You have a certain volume of grief you must go through. Once you’ve felt that volume of grief, then you’re over it and you move on with life.
