Russia Wins The Fed Cup With An Unexpected Guest In The Sidelines

Russia won its third Fed Cup title in four years the last Sunday, but the team had an unexpected participant. Maria Sharapova, currently with a injured shoulder and who has never played a Fed Cup for Russia before, was cheering up the team from the sidelines, wore the team’s uniform and even celebrated the victory walking with the team around the court, holding a Russian flag.

But her teammates and active players of the Russian team in the Cup put her loyalty and her reasons to be on the tournament to question, as the players that are not available for the Fed Cup can’t play the Olympics.

Tennis Lessons Coach - Choosing The Right Teacher

Tennis is a great sport that offers even those with little sporting aptitude to excel in a way that keeps them physically fit and active. Learning to play tennis can be the beginning of a lifelong appreciation for physical exercise and the outdoors. It’s a sport that young and old (and everyone in between) can enjoy.

Unlike many other sports, tennis offers the player the ability to:

-Learn something that interests them.
-Be with friends.
-Being involved and included since everyone gets to play!
-Belong and being recognized.
-See progress from virtually the first day (great for the self esteem).
